Clarence United Methodist Church Spotlight |
We want to welcome our new faith partner Clarence United Methodist Church. This church joined us as a faith partner back in March of 2015, and some of their congregation members are actively volunteering with Hearts & Hands: Faith in Action, Inc.
One of the members of the Clarence United Methodist Church, also volunteers with us at Hearts & Hands. Diane Kofahl joined us for a recent volunteer training. She has already started to make an impact in her community and recently mentioned to us how positive and pleasant her experience was with the Hearts & Hands care receivers. Diane had this to say about volunteering "God has blessed me with good health and the ability to help others by driving people to appointments. Clarence United Methodist Church has supported this organization for many years, and it is a privilege to serve others and to show the love of Jesus to people who need a ride!" Thank you, Diane, we are so incredibly grateful to have you volunteering with us.
Hearts and Hands makes mission work for your community easy! We coordinate the services, screen the volunteers and care receivers, cover the risk management overhead, and reimburse volunteers for mileage. Audrey talks about how grateful she is to have Hearts & Hands help her with her transportation needs. She helped us do this for Give 716 Day this year, and we managed to raise a little over $3,000. We are grateful for our faith partners who contribute $26,000 a year to our agency's mission. Caregiver Support Volunteers Needed |
Hearts & Hands is in need of caregiver support volunteers. Volunteer with us and to assist caregivers with some respite, which allows them to run errands, attend an appointment, or do something else for themselves. Volunteering with Hearts & Hands is easy, no monthly or weekly scheduling required, it is all based on your availability. |
